Photo Guidelines
Using Onsite Online Photo Guidelines Archiving Projects

Follow these three easy steps to creating great daily reports

Lighting Try to stand with the sun at your back to avoid too much contrast. The subject may appear black otherwise.
Stick to a Format Try to take all pictures either holding the camera horizontally or vertically; this will create a nice flow.
Documentation Remember, the purpose of these photos is to carefully document the work being completed.

You should try to get a few different types of photos for the project you are working on. You should always take an overview at the beginning of the day and another at the end of the day to show the day's progress. Close-ups of specific details are nice. Your client may be interested in seeing other details, for instance, dumpster placement, materials loading, demolition, job site cleanliness, and weatherproofing. You may want to take photos of things even if they are not directly related to labor.
